Did you have any issues with the skins? I was told to strain everything, so that things like seeds and skins weren't ingested...

I ate them as soon as I was progressed from a liquid diet. I order them with extra red sauce and cheese to increase the palatablilty and protein.

You can eat them, sure, but try Annie's Organic Vegetarian Refried Beans they are so much better. They come in a can and you can probably get them at a regular grocery store, but I get them at Whole Foods by me..
