Any Gastric Banding people in the house.

Hi. I had the band placed on August 31st. I've lost 20lbs so far. I'm not hungry. I'm still on full liquids. It's hard to get in all my water and protein in a day. Anyway, I'm happy so far with it. Jenny

Sharon - I had my surgery on 8/31 and I'm down 17 pounds. Still on light fluids for one more week; then onto thick fluids (soups, pureed foods) for a couple of more weeks. My docs are very cautious about not taking unnecessary risks that would affect the band. I stayed overnight at the hospital. Went home the next day before noon. The first night home was rough because I was by myself but nothing horrible. Feel great now, and returned to work yesterday. A bit tired at the end of the day, but fine. Managed 20 minutes on my treadmill the first time. I was walking the neighborhood, but we had a wave of heat (100+) so I took to the indoors. Hope you are doing well. - m
