I am too just one week out and I still have aches in my stomache. I also found out that I cannot tolerate the stool softener or my pain meds (they come back up). VERY uncomfortable in most positions. I still cannot lie down. I'm still on clear liquids and sometimes when I take in too much liquid which is rare, i get pain in my lower back. Is anyone else going through this?

I am having really bad pain in my mid left side, like a twisting pain. The pain meds don't help it at all. Joy

Im 4 weeks post op and I had a pain in my left side for about 2 weeks, the Dr said it was nothing to be concerned about and to use the heating pad on it. I found that really helped. I am still sleeping in the lazy boy just cant get comfy in a bed yet, still hurts to lie on my side. A lot of people on the main board have said they use milk of magnesia, that seems to be the best stool softner. Patty

I'm three weeks post op, and the best thing I found was a glass of warm decaf tea... It helped me relax, which lessened the pain... Just an idea.. John

Sorry to hear about the pain! I think that having a little pain is normal a week out. However, I would contact Dr. regarding it any way and if food and meds are coming back up too. I am just a little over-cautious about stuff like that. Check in with him/her. It is better to be safe than sorry!
