I really want to thank all for the wonderful messages that I received!!! I'm doing great! Up to 97% and am almost as active as I was pre op. Amen!!!!! I really look forward to sinking my teeth into my pureed food... in another week. I don't want to pu**** and let my pouch adjust to the idea! grin Again, thank you for all the kind words, thoughts and prayers! Rhonda 8/30 -19

Hi there, I'm one of the 8/30'ers that has to stay on liquids for 2 weeks...and I totally agree with you. I feel as if I need MORE in my stomach than just liquids. I am going to my first dr. appointment tomorrow since surgery and letting him know that as well. The liquids are definitely speeding up the weightloss, down 20lbs, but i feel as if I'm gonna blow away at the next breeze that comes by my house! Definitely the clear liquids seems to be a bit less intake that I would like, but following orders till my doc says otherwise.

Hello Rhonda, I am so glad to hear that things are going well for you. I too had surgery on the 30th. So far, so good. I just got home from the doc's office and get to have pureed now. I also get to start figuring out how to get my protein in everyday. Be sure to keep us posted on how you are doing. Shirley

Hi! I too, am alive and 1 week out. My surgery date was also 8/30. I'm delighted to hear about others that I can compare same day progress notes with. I'm feeling good, not REALLY hungry yet-I can't imagine why not. I started pureed food last night-a tiny portion of soft instant mashed potatoes (you were right, Dawn, they were very comforting!). Can anyone else sip fluids almost constantly? I have been able to do this since before I left the hospital. Am I stretching my pouch, I wonder. My activity level is good and I feel great! What a great way to start a new life (although, not easy yet!) Good luck to all!!

Ya'll are lucky -- my surgeon's profram keeps me on full liquids for 6 WEEKS! Protein shakes, strained, watered down cream soups and weak cream of rice/wheat -- for 6 WEEKS!!! I am going crazy!
