I am right with you!! It is so frustrating!! I am 2 weeks post op and the lowest I've been since my pre op weight of 262 was 249.5. But now I'm up to 251.5. I think what I'm going to do is stop weighing myself everyday. I think it is driving me nuts!! I'm going to commit to once a week. Good luck to you!! I'm sure soon we will both be laughing about this posting!!

I had my lap RNY on 08/03/04. In 2 weeks I lost 22 pounds. Over the next 2 weeks I lost ZERO!!!!! The next week I lost 3. Who knows why we do this, I only know it's normal and we have to be patient. Trust me, it WILL work!!!! When I posted this same concern everyone suggested that I up my protein, water, and exercise! Dawn

Hi Patricia, I am 3 days after you, and I am also on one. I was told that this is expected 3-4 weeks post op. My surgeon said your body is shifting, etc. Once all things adjust you should see it coming off again. I have been the same about 7 days now- and I was freaking out as well. Watch us all hit together and start rapidly losing again Hang in there Denise

OMG!! This happened to me at about 3 weeks too! I even appeared to gain a couple of pounds! And since this weight is a regular plateau for me with previous diets, I was sure that wls was not going to work for me! This lasted at least 10 days, and I was freaking out. I even started to think that the doc didn't do the surgery he was supposed to! lol Funny how impatient we become with something that really works so quickly. It finally moved, 5 pounds in one day. whew. Laterz Nona 310/275/150

Wow! So, it really has happened to all of us. I was so ashamed to have hit a plateau at 2.5 weeks and then gained two pounds. I didn't even want to talk to friends who knew I had the surgery for fear they would ask, 'how much?' My weight started coming back off about a week and a half ago - when I upped my protein, water and exercise. Oh, and I started eating more as well (bless those soft solids!). So far, 7 inches gone from my waist! I've decided that the scales are evil except for maybe once a week. My friend is my tape measure! Foxy Baby Diva -24 lbs.
