What kind of diet are you on right now? I wasn't able to tolerate the protein drinks either. They were fine before surgery but not after, and I still have trouble with them and anything else that tastes like splenda or aspartame. If you're on liquids, try unflavored protein powder (Unjury.com) added to your broth, etc. If you're on pureed foods, the protein powder can be added to those as well. Good luck to you!

Hi, My surgery was an open RNY on the 23rd of Aug. The best protein that I have found is at the GNC its 100% Whey unflavored, its really good with Carnation Instant Breakfast Drink FF SF chocolate flavored, mix that with 1 scoop of protein, 1 cup skim milk and 1 pkg CIB and some ice and there you have a nice chocolate milk shake. Yum Yum! Hope this helps. I've tried several kinds and this by far is the best in most everythng. Becky

Not sure what you've tried, but I LOVE the ISOPURE drinks. It's 20 oz, already mixed, tastes like kool-aid (well ok, maybe not THAT good, but pretty close). It's not a thick shake type thing, it's the same consistancy as juice. 40 grams of protein!!!! I really like them, but I know some people aren't big on them. If you haven't tried it yet, I would. Hope this helps, Dawn

Teresa, I like unjury. It is the only thing I can get down. Look for them at (www).unjury.com. They will send you samples. Try the chocolate I like it much better than vanilla. It is the only successful drink I can get in. And that is only once a day. After that, its a free for all. Good Luck! Denise
