Hi everyone! I am home from 08/30/04 and starting to recover. Very tired and having a hard time getting around. I am already 100% better than yesterday. I guess everyday will get better. Will update later on my progression. --Marianne

I have not had any problems sleeping. I slept all night last night and have been cat knapping througout the day. I have always been a good sleeper. Hang in there! We can do this!

Marianne- How are things going with you today? I slept last night for over 6 hours and it felt wonderful. I got up once to use the bedroom and went directly back to sleep. It was really nice... I walked about 45 minutes with my son and I'm now getting the water intake down consistently with Dr. E. directions. I'm feeling good about my decisions. My son said to me: 'I see you melting away Mama'.... I said: Mommy is not going anywhere but right here with her baby. My son is 10. Anyway, keep in touch and have a wonderful weekend... -Gwen

Glad to see you are home. I also had surgery on the 30th. Came home on the first. I'm just sore. Took my pain med before bed but that's all. Up and moving around as much as possible. So many liquids, so little time. The more I move the better it gets. Don't forget your breathing, must do that also! But the day will be busy getting in all the liquids and the protein. Not to mention running to the bathroom. And one must go to the kitchen to get all these liquids, right. Exercise... Good luck, keep posting!

Thanks for reminding me of the spirometer! I have forgotten to do that. But today has been a good day for me. Showered and ate well! Good Luck to you as well
