Hello, I had open RNY on 8/23. I've been home since Thursday. I've been of all heavy pain meds except motrin since Saturday. Feeling a little sore but not bad, kinda compares to a C-section but I don't think as bad. I'm on full liquids now, which is smoothies, jello, pudding, crystal light, mashed potatoes, cottage cheese, eggs, applesauce and a few others and adding my unflavored whey (gnc) protein powder to most everything. I tried the Van. flavored and I didn't think it tasted to good. I go to the Dr. on Thurs. and will be put on purreed foods I think. Goodluck to everyone patiently waiting, its not really as bad as I thought. Thanks for listening and I wil post again on Thursday to let you know if I can join the LOSERS club yet. Becky

Becky, I am so glad you are doing well. I do not like the van. flavored protien either. Choc. is great to my taste buds. I can't do mashed potatos, they made me so very sick. I like to add cotage cheese to my applesause. Makes a great breakfast or mid afternoon snak. Good luck to you. Marla

Hey Becky, That is wonderful- I get envious of you folks that can eat. I am three weeks out and am lucky to get in one full protein shake. I think it is wonderful to see the varied degrees of progress. Congratulations to you! Denise
