I am two weeks post-op and am sick of broth and jello. Need some help with protein supplements. What are you guys using? what's working? Looking for name brands, where you got them, and what your using it in? I know I'm asking alot, but I just don't want to go thru every thing on the market. You guys know what works, please share! Thanks Heather

[email protected] Email Jenni and ask her to send you some samples. I use the Fuzzy Navel and the Roadside Lemonade. I like the Navel in the am because it is like OJ. She is sending me another sample of another flavor to try. I drink the Isopure that you can get at GNC or any health food store just about. Tastes pretty good. Almost like water downed kool aid with a very minimal aftertaste. I like some flavors better then others. I drink it ICE COLD or in a slushy. I started on real food today and was delighted to eat 3 shrimp! was a moment in heaven away from pureed! Have a bit of a grumble going on but I don't feel bad from it. Introducng one thing at a time very slowly here! Tab

Hi Heather! I've just one week post op but I've been using unjury protein shakes. They taste really good, really like a milkshake and not vitaminy or mediciney. They have 20 grams of protein and when you add soy milk (lactose intol) it has a total of 27gms prot per 8 oz! Only available on the web though, www.unjury.com. I hope it helps! ~ Felicia

I also use unjury and love it. I set up an account with them. They send it on date set and charge it checking account. It seems to be very easy on pouch. Some I have tried and UGH! Marla

For protein, I'm using Designer Whey-Chocolate. I purchase it at Trader Joe's. 4oz. milk and one scoop is 23.5 grams of protein. I drink 3 of these a day so I don't have to put protein powder in the other food. It just made it take so nasty, and the texture really grossed me out. Good luck, Christie

I am two weeks out and using EAS Carb Control. I bought mine at Walmart. They come in a 4 pack. The choc and strawberry are good but I was not wild about the french vanilla. They have 11 oz each with 100 calories and 15 grams protein. The dietician told me to drink 4 per day. Good luck

First thing in the morning I make up two servings of sugar free Carnation Instant Breakfast Drink with two cups of Lactaid 1% milk and one scoop of unflavored Unjury Protein Supplement. I can't express to you how much I LOVE it!! It tastes just like a big glass of chocolate milk and I sip it down without any trouble. Oh........and it gives me a total of 44 grams of protein.

I use Advent Edge that I buy at Wal-Mart. I went to GNC and bough the pricier brands and didn't like it as well as the Wal-Mart version.
