Hello all, I an approaching my 2 week anniversary. I have had two dreams about food, haven't thrown up, lost 14 lbs, BMI went from 45.9-43.2 and I am tired of liquids, I want something else. I am still satisfied enough not to eat solids even when I have food right in front of me but I miss it. I have been craving, nachos and pizza, and pretty much everything else that I can't have. I just think, "One day I can sample it again." Good Luck to all, and one question is anyone's sides or neck hurting when they breathe?

Glad to hear that you are doing well. I had a problem with my shoulder and back of the neck hurting when I breathed in. I mentioned it to the surgeon when I got my staples and he didn't seem too worried about it. You might want to mention it to your Dr. though just to be safe. Patty

Hi Jamie, This is my 2 week anniversary too! I have no desire for food at all! I get so full with my protein drinks that even the thought of eating turns me right off. I do love my cream of potato soup though! I am usually able to get down about 1/4 cup. I will admit though that once I am off off full liquids, the first thing I am going to have is KFC mashed potatoes!!. How is everything else going for you? I am out of the recliner and into my bed now thank God! I am cooking different things for my family.I don't care for fish so I am making them some nice fish dinners which they seem to appreciate. Good luck to you! Sandy

Thank you all for your information, my doctor said that the neck and back is nothing but a part of lungs collapse from anesthesia. Also he put me on soft foods yesterday so I had tuna last night and this morning. I'm going gorcery shopping today. My pain is getting less and less and I'm swallowing iron pills now. talk to you all later.
