8/2....life has changed!!!!
Well, I'm 25 days out and things are settling down... finally can eat solid food, but I'm finding some things just don't go down yet....like chicken! I'm the queen of tuna and cottage cheese, though!
Suffered through 2 weeks of not losing anything... , thought I was about to scream, but the scale finally moved and I'm down 22 as of today. Can't complain as long as it goes DOWN, not UP!!!
Still low on energy , but hoping to be able to exercise soon!
Just wondering how the rest of us early August babies are doing.... Teri
Hi Teri!
So glad to hear you are progressing well. I had my peg tube out Thursday as well as my 23 staples. I was unzipped!!
I have a bit of swelling and leaking around one area of my incision. I went to the ER last night because I know all that can go wrong (medical professionals are the worst patients, ya know!!)
I am doing well on eating. I had grilled sweet potatoes, penut bitter, soup with some crackers mooshed in it, and a banana today. One protein drink. Really behind on the fluid intake, just can't seem to get that up where it needs to be, but am going to make an effort to better concentrate on this.
I get soft foods on Monday. Recommended by my surgeon to go for the fish and veggies to keep protein up.
I can't wait!!
Keep in touch!!

Glad to hear that things are going well for you. Monday will be three weeks for me. Things are going well, still a bit sore on and off and tired but no complaints. Monday I get to start the soft/pureed diet. Up till now I have been on a full liquid diet. I never want to see soup again, lol. I've lost 26 pounds but some of that is probably due to the fact that I had the flu this week. I hope none of that comes back.

Hey Teri!
My surgery was 8/3. I'm starting to feel more normal, too! I'm not really supposed to be on solids yet (per Dr), but sometimes I try them just to see.
I haven't lost ANY since the 18th, so it's been like a week and a half! Total weight lost is 22 pounds. It's soooooooooooo frustrating to be at a stand-still so early on!
Glad to hear you're doing awesome!!! Makes me feel a little more normal knowing others plateau so early on...
Congrats!

Well, down 31 at the last doctor's office I have been to. (NOT my surgeon's but doc's nonetheless) I am trying not to weigh myself at home, it just messes with my head. It's funny, I don't lose, then I go to the doc's and when I get home, my scale THEN matches the loss I showed at the doc's! I think everything around here is hormonal!
My pouch is moody. Somedays, I can eat and drink and everything is fine. The next day, everything seems to be too much and it almost hurts. That is when I get scared to eat. Some days I want to eat everything, like old times, and some days the very thought of eating makes me sick and nothing is appealing.
I had labs drawn, and they are all NORMAL! whew, because I almost NEVER use a protein supplement and my protein level was at the high end of normal. go nona, go nona, get your protein, go nona...
I can't wait to lift weights and do some bellydancing! I said in another post, Lap Dances for everyone! lol

It is so nice to hear from all of you the same as what I have going on .
Teri thanks for posting you have helped us all . I have all the same things going on. I go to the docs tomorrow and I know I have not lost very much more I was down 17-20 pounds in 2 weeks my doc would not let me see the scale. He only lets you know 1 time a month. My scale at home does not go past 225 so that leaves me out for now. I started at 345 and I have a way to go but that scale will weigh me soon. Take care and God Bless Brenda
