12 hours and counting down ...

I'm in Nashville now. Surgery scheduled for 7:30 am. Had a hectic day at school today so haven't thought much about it. I haven't got in but about 30-40 oz of water, etc. and 4 jellos. Am getting a real bad headache - am very tired. Waitinf for my husband and daughter to get here. Dr. Houston's office arranged for me a free room tonight at the Holiday Inn = nice room and I can hookup my laptop. At the moment I'm not scared or anxious. Mostly it doesn't seem real that I'm having it. I feel so at peace. God has worked such miracles in my life about this surgery. Checked about WLS on 7/22; went to seminar on 7/27; and here I am having surgery less than one month later. I feel so blessed knowing what a struggle some of you have been through just to be approved. God is gracious, God is good. I've put my complete trust in Him to handle things and wow has He! May God bless each and everyone of you on your journey. See ya on the losin side this time tomorrow. Jeanette

You're doing great! I also had it pretty easy getting in for surgery so quicky... it was almost surreal... until the morning of--- if you're anxious tomorrow just ask for a slight sedative beforehand. I wish I would have. Keep your chin up and keep looking forward- in a few weeks it will feel like nothing ever happened (I'm 3 weeks post-op and feel great!). You'll be in my thoughts!!! Dawn

Hi JEANETTE, I WILL BE SENDING YOU POSITIVE VIBES FROM CALIFORNIA. I JUST HAD MY SURGERY ON THE 20TH LAST FRIDAY WAS HOME BY SUNDAY AND IT IS 12:11AM HERE ON THE WEST COAST AND I AM NOT TIRED. I FEEL LIKE I HAD NOTHING DONE AT TIMES. TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH I FEEL BETTER THAN I HAVE FELT IN YEARS... I HAVE BEEN WALKING EVERY DAY DRINKING MY PROTEIN, WATER AND TAKING VITAMINS AND I FEEL GREAT. I HOPE FOR YOU THE SAME WONDERFUL SURGERY AND A VERY SPEEDY RECOVERY. HECK I THOUGHT I WOULD BE ABLE TO MILK THIS FOR SOME WAITING ON HAND AND FOOT... BUT I REALLY FEEL TO GREAT TO HAVE PEOPLE DO THINGS FOR ME... ALTHOUGH THEY STILL ARE BEING GREAT TO ME....
