I lost 22 lbs by my 2 week p-o appt, but in the past week I haven't lost ANY more weight!!! I lost 3 lbs here, gained 2 lbs there, lost another, gained another... I don't know what's going on!!!! I feel so frustrated b/c even though I know 22 lbs in 2 weeks was a lot, I'm wondering what I've been doing so different in the past week that would prevent me from losing ANY weight... I feel like I'm destined to be a fat-chick the rest of my life, only now I'm a fat-chick who CAN'T EVEN EAT!!!!!! Have any of you experienced the same thing??? Thanks, Dawn

Dawn, I know how you feel. I lost 23 pounds the first two weeks and nothing so far the third week. But I am sure it will fall off us in time. Our body is probably just feeling that starvation mode right now and hoarding the weight. Good luck Patty

Dawn, I am 5 weeks post op and registered here today to get help with exactly the same thing. I lost 26 pounds first couple weeks, then struggled to lose 2 pounds for my 3 weeks dr. apt. Since then I have not lost an ounce and it has been a week. I am so discouraged. I weigh myself morning and night. I guess we need to just hang in there and keep doing what we were told and the weight will start coming off. Dr. Burry told me not to worry about the plateau even though it has just been 5 weeks since my surgery. I know it is hard especially when we hear of all the sucess stories of other people. But I am sure they had plateaus too. Good luck to you, we will succeed!!!!

Hi, I am 3 weeks post op. Thus far I have lost 26 lbs. I must admit I weigh daily. From all I have read, this is a no, no. I have seen with my own loss...one day up a pound, next down 2. Our bodies all loose at different rates, so I can not judge my body by anyone else. I know my clothes are a bit looser, which is good. I have also noticed, the more I walk(treadmill), the more I loose. I wish you luck. Marla

I'm having the same problem and it is definitely frustrating. We have to hang in there though. I had surgery on August 3rd and lost 25 lbs. the first few weeks, then this past week nothing. Our bodies are getting adjusted to the new change and we just have to be patient. Before we know it we will be 2 sizes down...can't wait.

Hi, I lost 14 lbs. the 1st week and only 1.5 lbs. this week. I feel exactly what you've been feeling that I will just be a fat chick that can't eat. I felt so frustrated today after my doctor's appt. that I had a couple extra things to eat!!! My doctor says 15.5 lbs. in 2 weeks is not bad and I shouldn't get discouraged, I just find this easier said that done. I have met all kinds of people that have lost 130+ lbs. in 12 months and I want to be one of them. Losing only 1.5 lbs. this week has certainly made me wonder if that will EVER happen to me!

HI Dawn I am expierencing the same thing only I dont have a scale that works past 225 and I strted at 345 so I can not weigh myself at home. I lost between 17 and 20 the first 2 weeks my doctor would not allow me to see the scale he says you only weigh yourself 1 time a month because you will drive your self crazy. I have noticed my stomach under my breast line has gone down and my undies are starting to sag but I have not lost a size yet and that gets to me. I wanted to be 30 pounds out by now. I know I am not drinking enough water but my pouch only allows so much. Living on Carnation and yogurt and still do not think I am losing enough. But I go to the docs on the 30th and We will see. Good Luck to you and we can go this together. Huggss Brenda
