Angela If you read my profile it will give you a pretty good idea of what I went through at the hospital and how things are right now. I had my surgery Aug. 9th. Best wishes Patty

Hey Angela, I just had my surgery 8-2-04. Think positive! Things will be just fine. Everybody is different when they get home. As I am sure you know in the hospital they take care of you, your bed moves up and down and you push a button for someone to come and help you. When you get home, you do it on your own. My surgery had no complications, I was able to walk up my stairs, walk around the house and everything. The hardest thing was probrobly getting up and down from lying on my bed and also getting up and down on the toliet. I had my surgery lap. so my incisions were not as severe as being cut. All is all they send you home with medicine and if you have any questions they will give you phone numbers to call with questions. Try and stay relaxed, everything will work out. Your doctors office will tell you everything you need to know. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Sheri in SC.

I agree as well. I had my surgery on August 11th. I had prepared myself mentally to be in a WHOLE LOT OF PAIN. Thankfully, it was not very painful at all. I went home on time and have had NO complications thus far. I think the hardest part for me has been taking the medicine, which in hindsight wasn't that bad. You will do fine. If you look back over some of the things I wrote before the surgery you will see that I was scared out of my mind. That is natural. I thought about changing my mind millions of time and in the long run I turned to God and asked for courage and peace of mind, as well as to guide the hands of my surgeon, anestesiologist and medical staff. You will be fine as well. We will be praying for you. God Bless, Yolanda
