Surgery scheduled 8/26

WOW!!! I just found this board. I live in North Pole, Alaska and have surgery scheduled at Alvarado in San Diego for August 26th. I will fly out of here on Monday the 23rd, pre ops on the 24th, bowel prep on the 25th and then the big day. I am nervous, excited, scared. Any prayers are welcome. I hope to see you all soon on the "other side". Alice

Congratulations on getting you date!! If you are liKe me you can't wait until that day gets here!!! I am having surgery on the 23rd...i will probally be going home the day you have surgery so i want to wish you well before then i am sure we will have alot of questions and experiences to share once we are both on the losing side!!!! ALICE, I AM NEW TO THE BOARD ALSO, MAYBE 3-4 WEEKS IF THAT. I WANT TO TELL YOU WHAT INCREDIBLE PEOPLE ARE HERE. THEY HAVE HELPED ME SO MUCH PREPARE FOR MY BIG DAY WHICH IS AUG 30. READ THE POSTS AND THE PROFILES. SOME WILL MAKE U LAUGH AND SOME WILL MAKE YOU CRY. BUT IT HAS HELPED ME FIND PEACE KNOWING I AM NOT ALONE.
