I can't believe it!

I can't believe that I feel so good after having a major surgery. I expected to be in a lot of pain and a big baby but it has turned out to be the exact opposite. I had surgery on Thursday Aug 12th, I was up and moving around that evening, and then circling the nurses station by Friday. I haven't had any pain meds since Friday morning and was home by Saturday afternoon. I am totally amazed at my whole journey. I even asked the Dr. if he had in fact even done the surgery! I really think that he just poked some holes in my stomach, slapped on a couple of band aids, and sent me home with a horrible diet! I have been on clear liquids since the surgery and am sooo ready to move on. The great news is that in just 6 days I have lost 12lbs which totally makes the horrible liquid diet worth it. I am so happy that I decided to do this! I hope all of the August post ops are doing great and having fun experimenting with their new tummies and I wish all the best to the August pre ops, you are all in for an adventure! Glad to hear you are feeling so well. I feel good too except for the odd ache here and htere. I will be so glad to get past this full liquid phase. Right now I can just have strained cream soup, pudding, yogurt and cream of wheat. I feel ready for something I can actually chew. Best wishes Patty

I was thinking I too would be not able to do alot of things. I had gone to the movies and things already. Feels like I never had it. I had surgery on 08/11/04 and lost 10 lbs in 6 days too. Congradulation on your loss
