Still some pain but I am up ...walking for exercise. Came home the morning of the 11th... Slept in recliner first couple of nights but have been able to sleep in bed past two night..Still can't lay on my sides and having some back pain from laying only on my back... but Feeling pretty good all in all...I am takign the protein drinks but can;'t say I like the taste of any of them...can't wait for soft foods....I have not once felt hungry..I am drinking all the time... little sips of water constantly...I kept reading & re-reading my instructions to make sure I am doing things right.....I want to thank all of you who sent good wishes & words of wisdom...You really helped me be strong enough to go through this...My family has been wonderful ... Dr. Walton & his staff have been great.....everyone at the hopsital was very encouraging, respectful & informative ...I would recommend them to anyone...I am so excited for myself and the rest of you for starting our journey into our new life....TODAY IS THE DAY TO START LIVING THE LIFE YOU ALWAYS WANTED!

Welcome home. Just do what doctor says, follow rules of the pouch and you will do fine. Make sure you drink gatorade also, very important. Marla

I had an open RNY on the 9th also. I am glad to hear you are doing so well. I had some post op pain issues and stayed in the hospital 5 days. I hope to be getting on the right path soon. Good Luck, Karen
