Hi Lisa- My surgery is August 24th. My friends have advised me to rent a recliner - since I don't own one - and sleep in it the first two weeks, if necessary. Be Blessed.

Oh me too! Can only sleep a few hours then awake. And such awful nitemares. Can not get comfortable, back hurts, tummy hurts, such a discomfortable nite. 8/3 was surgery date. Marla

I have had a hard time getting a comfy position then I wake up a couple of hours later and have to get up for awhile. And I too have been having dreams, not nightmares more silly dreams. For me its my side that hurts, felt like I was in a fight and lost but thats getting better each day. Patty

Hey Lisa, I had my surgery 8-2-04 and it was really hard to sleep. Do you take any pain medicine at night to help you? Are you sleeping throughout the day so when night comes you are not tired? I found out that the more I move around and try and get up to do things the better off I sleep. Last night I finally got out and walked for around 10-15 minutes and I slept through the night for the first time. It takes time to heal. Your body is trying to get rid of all the different medicines that were given to you for surgery. Keep exercising as much as possible and see if that helps. Good luck to you! It can only get better from here. Sheri
