Ive heard that it really makes a difference, also age does, the younger you are the more elastic your skin is. Patty

My doctor swears that working out makes a world of diffence. He required that I be walking 2 miles a day by the time I'm two weeks out and that I work out my arms with 2lb weights everyday until I can get back to the gym. I have a friend who've done this before me who didn't work out and she's looking VERY saggy.. and she's 22 and I have a friend in her 40's who did work out and looks wonderful. I went back to the gym today for the first time to do the treadmill.. and you can believe I'll be doing the wieght machine as soon as I can. Angelina 08/06/04 open

No personal experience myself - YET - but a friend of mine had a DS back in November of 2003 and he does water aerobics 3 times a week and lifts weights two days a week with a trainer. He has lost over 150 pounds and doesn't have a lot of sagging skin problems. On top of all this he is in the Catering profession so he is "taste-testing" stuff all the time. I think the water aerobics is the most ideal thing for post-op's. Your own natural buoyancy relieves a lot of the stress off your joints and your tummy area. G'Luck.
