Questions for the post ops!
I guess I should answer my own questions.
Doing good with the water it goes down too easy, I cant get enough
The food has been a little harder to get all in, Today I ate 1/4 of cream of wheat with 1/4 cup of skim milk for breaky and for lunch 1/2 cup of cream of mushroom soup and mid aft a sugar free popsicle half.
I cannot find a store yet that has s/f pudding or s/f yogurt. Fat free is easy to find though.
The vitamins are yukky and I have to admit I have missed a couple of doses.

I couldn't find pre-made s/f f/f pudding either. I bought the jello brand mix and am going to make my own. As far as yogurt, are you referring to frozen? I was told I could use s/f lowfat. I bought light and fit yogurt smoothies (dannon) for frozen I bought lowfat/sugar free (splenda) frozen yogurt.
I haven't had the surgery yet, but someone I know that had it said tha****er hurt, it was almost like it wasn't "soft" enough to go down, but she said Fruit 2/0 worked great and it was much easier to get down. I bought a case today at BJs Wholesale.
Hope you have better luck with getting in your water and food.
I'm 2 days away!
JUDY
Well, I wouldn't want to hold myself out as an example of how to proceed, since I haven't followed the rules the way I should, but I was so HUNGRY! Although I was supposed to be on a liquid diet the first two weeks, I could not stick to it. So, I have had no trouble with thin-sliced deli turkey, warmed up. I eat the yogurt that is meant for low-carb diets, since I could not find any completely sugar free kinds. That seems to cause me no trouble at all. My only trouble with the water is remembering to drink it all. The only thing that has made me sick so far was the Atkins waffle I tried. I swear it swelled all the way up my throat! So icky! Back it came, so I won't be trying any kind of bread product for a long long time. My pouch seems to be happy with almost any small quantity of protein-based food. Oh yeah, I tried a "sugar free" frapaccino at Starbucks, and I think it was not actually sugar free, because I got all sweaty and miserable after only a couple of sips. I can drink their sugar free/fat free vanilla lates though. Yummmmm!
I am having no problems with the water or the chicken broth, although it is getting old. I have not tried cream of wheat. Do you add splenda to it? I did just make some Jello instant s/f f/f jello and that was GREAT. I am now sitting here worrying though as to whether it will clump??? I would love some new ideas as to what else you guys have tried.

I have stuck with diet. Just had s/fpudding with soy milk, not too bad. I have always had problems with milk, thus the soy. I see cream of wheat is on my list, so will try it. S/f jello has also been good. Tried cream of chicken soup, almost lost it. UGH..Only having protien with soy milk. Not sure I want to try any sliced meat, just want to take it slow and easy. Broths are good also. Just now getting the water in, is very hard for me. I just don't like water, even with crystal lite. Come Tue, I can try mashed potatos made with broth, sound soooo good! Not really been hungry, which is good. Marla
