Post-op crying, John & menopause
Well, I knew this would probably happen, it happened after my knee reconstruction last year. I cry at the drop of a hat! If the doc seems genuinely concerned or another seems to not really give a crap, I CRY.
The worst was yesterday, I watched a John Lennon special...OMG. Okay, I really like the beatles and the work of John and Paul after them, but I was born in '68 and beatlemania did not happen directly to me. BUT, this special was about him and I NEVER knew what a powerfully spiritual man he was. Then of course at the end of the documentary, he gets shot. I remember when that happened, but I guess I lived it for the first time like millions did then. I was sooooooooooooo sad and cried. DUMB. It was beyond losing John Lennon, but realizing that there is so little GOOD that is popular. Nothing seems to mean anything to anybody anymore. It's crap.
I am sure the combination of post-op emotions, along with having to go off my Estroven (for peri-menopausal symptoms) is turning me into a mess. LOL
Just wanted to share, expecially since some of you may be having these overreactive emotions too. If I didn't have that surgery last year, I would be so baffled as to why I am suddenly so emotional!

It is a well known fact that anesthesia causes depression post op, but going off hormones at the same time, well no wonder!!! Not to mention some people are more emotional than others. If I didn't take Welbutrin I would cry all the time. I cry watching the Kentucky Derby. I cry when someone at work tells me about her brother's divorce and what the kids go through. (I don't even know any of them) I am pretty sure if I watch the Olympics I will cry then too. The important question is: are you balancing it out with laughter?? As you can see by my silly picture that I posted, I love to laugh too. If you can laugh as much as you cry, then I believe you have nothing to worry about.
