Home and Healthy, Thank God!!

Thought I'd take a minute and thank those who sent me encouraging messages preop. I'm home and doing better than I thought I could have ever expected. I was in the hospital for 2 nights, cam e home Friday, sat aroung more on Saturday, went to church on Sunday, shopping after for about 40 minutes, home, rest, supper for the family ect....and been going well like that since. Had my JP drain taken out yesterday. OOOH that felt weird--not really pain but a really strange sensation. I had gained 14 poinds post-op from fluids, now have lost that plus 6 pounds/ I did make a boo boo and eat the wrong stuff--baby food-bananas--thought that would be considered full liquid but no no said the dietician!!--but nothing happened!!! Doing very well here--can't wait to see the results as they go. Thanks for the words of wisdom--will take all advice!! Anne

Glad to hear that you are home and doing well. I came home thurs am, had mine done on monday. Thank goodness I didnt have any drains in when i came home. Best wishes Patty
