First post op note

I got home yesterday. Hope everyone is doing well .Hope this isn't too personal last night and today had a terrible bout with constipation I need help I can't go through that again,

CONGRATULATIONS CHERYL!!!!! I wish I had words of wisdom to share about your difficulties, but I've not had my surgery yet. I'm scheduled, however, for 8/23/04. I sure hope you are well otherwise and am excited about the new life you will soon have. Take care - and I can't wait to see some before and after photos! I'll be keeping you in my thoughts. I am so happy to hear that you are home and fine. Ive heard alot of people don't have a movement for about a week. Should I be so lucky. Ive had one everyday since the op, its not much but still there. Patty

Hi Cheryl~ I got home from the hospital on 8/8 and the night of 8/9 I had a horrible battle with gas pains/constipation. Felt like contractions when having a baby, lol. FORTUNATELY it was only one night and I've be fine and getting stronger since. Congrats on making it to the losing side!! Now let's go get a protein shake. Lisa 273/269/258

August 13,2004 post op day 4 I hope everyone is doing well. I call the doctor's office and the nurse told me what to do if constipation occurs again. My stomach has a dull constant ache and i am still very sore. I tried to drink some protein last noc and I couldn't do it the stuff I bought was supposely tasteless but it isn't any suggestions on protein supplements would be greatly appreciated. I am also really really tired . I know I need to start moving more but just going to the bathroom and downstairs to get something to drink is a real choir. please send some words of encouragement
