Surgery delay due to Bradycardia

Hello everyone! This is my first post, although I have been reading just about every post for 4 months. I was scheduled for surgery on the 19th, but now it looks like that is not going to happen. During my pre-op testing they found I have bradycardia - very low heart rate - and now need more evaluation through a cardiologist. It was hard enough keeping myself together to get this far, I don't know if I can do it again. It's something I really want, but I'm so scared. I prayed that if it was meant to work out it would, but it seems like maybe the lord brought me down this path for a different reason. My father has had two heart surgeries for a similar problem, but was already pretty sick when they found it. So far the symptoms I have had could just be contributed to chasing around three children all day. Please pray for me that this works out the way it's supposed to, because this group is the only place I can come to get the support of people who would possibly understand.

I am sorry that your have encountered this delay, but am glad that they have caught this early. You are right, you may have been brought down this path for another reason. But no one is to say that once this issue has been addressed that maybe you couldn't still have surgery. Trying to be patient is the most stressful part. Im sorry to hear that you have had this delay and hopefully things will work out for you. Not that its much of a comfort right now but its better to be safe than sorry. Patty
