well im 18 days away from my surgery and i was told that for the first couple of weeks i wont be able to sleep in my bed( due to the fact that straining trying to get up can develop some hernias) i was told that i might have to sleep on a recliner chair. well im staying at moms after the surgery and i dont want to tell her this bcuz she has spent so much money and getting me ready for this surgery, and with school around the corner, my extra money has gone to preparing my daughter for school(clothing and books)..... what should i do? any affordable suggestions

Ive heard of people buying those chair pillows to use on their bed and others renting a recliner. Hope this helps. Patty

I say rent a recliner..you will only need it for a couple of weeks at most...that is my plan if I can't lay in a bed....and money is really tight for me right now also.....well...good luck with what ever you decided. You will work it out!! (just had another idea,,,check the newspapers for cheap used recliner or look at garage sales!!) hope this helps
