doing fine after quiting smoking

i've quit since june14th. i promised my son i'd do it. it has been hard but i'm doing well. i started by using the patch. until i relized it fell off in the shower. i didn't even have it on. it's really all in our heads .best wishes to anyone who is trying to quit.

help meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee im going in on the 30th and i cant stop smoking i havent tried the patch, my sister was on the patch and it didnt help her. well its 7:00pm and i havent had a cigerette yet, i guess cuz i try to sleep all day so i wont nor smoke

I too quite smoking for surgery, and it is the best thing I ever did. I have wanted to quit for so long, and now I just feel like a non-smoker. I wanted to tell you that the quitnet site on the internet made the difference for me. You may want to check out the support on the net. Good Luck, Best Wishes Heather

I see you are scheduled for surgery on the 30th how discussing with your MD using lozenges and getting a script from your doctor for Wellbutrin It really helped me

congrats on stopping smoking....my mother realized much the same thing....she & i both stopped smoking on 5/10/00....My daughter had asked my why I smoked. If I told her bcus it felt good then I had no recourse when she used the same line on me later in her life....so I quite....mom did @ same time too. I will admit that every now and then the hand motion of smoking "want" still hits...but is so easy to refuse now...it did take some time for mom though...

YES, SOMETIMES I STILL DO LOOK FOR IT. BUT I HAVE BEEN GOOD. I KNOW I NEED TO DO THIS.
