I'm so scared. One week from Thursday.. and counting.

Hi Lola, I am having the open RNY next week so I really can't speak for the procedure you are having. However, remember this is a personal choice and one you have to live with forever. You searched and seeked for a long time (assuming) for the answer as to whether you shuld do this and obviously feel that your life would be better with it. Pre-op jitters are normal for any procedure and most certainly for a life changing procedure. No one can make the final decision but you, but know that the nerves are normal and it is ok to be scared. I researched a long time and have consulted so many opinions from people here, professionals, family and a few friends, but know this is ultimately up to me to live with my choice. I would not back out for the world right now, but I also am 110% sure. No one will fault you if you do, remember that, but take into consideration this is an emotional time for all of us when we get so close! Best of luck to you in making the final decision. You will make the best one for you and we will support you any way we can. I wish I could tell you more of the surgery you are having, I just don't have the information on it. I would suggest going to the lap band discussion room and see what you can search up in there to help you. Hugs, Tab
