Hi All, surgery went well and I am back home. The only small problem I am having right now is that there is still leakage from where they pulled out the drainage tube yesterday. If it could be measured it may not be much but it seems like a lot to me. Anybody else have that happened to? You all have a great day and best of luck to all of you whose surgery is coming up. Hi Sabine, I really can not answer your question because I havent had the surgery yet. I'm scheduled for Lap-Banding next week August 19th and I'm so scared. I'm even having second thoughts. I'm glad your feeling good and I'm pretty sure you'll do just fine. All my best Lourdes from NY..

Lourdes, I think we've all been there -you're not alone in that rollercoaster of emotions. Remember, its health worries...and very normal adios, norma.

Hey Sabine! Congratulations on your surgery. I had mine done the same day as you. As for your question, I had a considerable amount of drainage when they pulled the drain tube also. They said that it was nothing to be concerned about and that it was better that it came out instead of saying in. I just shower daily and put a gauze bandage over the little hole to protect my clothes. It seems to be doing fine. The only problem I am having is this chest pain. I know that it is just gas but man it hurts! I feel like I can't breathe when I try to drink. But obviously I can, and the liquid stays down. I guess I'm just a big baby when it comes to pain. Anyway, don't worry about that drain site too much. Just keep a close eye on it and if it looks weird at all... call the surgeon!!! Have a great day!

Thanks Debra, it seems to be doing better now that I had a good night sleep. But then I have just gotten up and not done much walking yet. About your gas, I had the same problem but it went away on it's own. Just hang in there. Maybe you can ask your doc if there is something you could take to ease it. Congrats on your surgery. I was just telling my husband that I was so stupid to wait so long to even consider it... Have a great day. Sabine
