Surgery date set, time travels more slowly?
Hi Teri,
My surgery date is the 25th and the days couldn't go any slower. I am tryng to keep busy. But, there is only so much you can do. It also doesn't help when everyone keeps asking you when your surgery is. I wish you the best of luck. You will be in my prayers. Live each day to the fulliest!

Hi
I am 6 days post-op I feel great! I lap Rny. I was in surgery for almost 4 hours. I guess my anotomy was a challange. If my surgeon would have not been as experienced my lap RNY I would have ended with the open RNY.. It is so important to to have a great surgeon in this spicilized feild.Don't settle for 2nd best.
What I did when I was waiting to keep busy was, I shopped for protein bars, bought new undies. got a peicure, therapy, stocked up on things I woulnt be able to get after surgey. Bought a great book: Before and After.(Go to bariatriceating.com) I tryed the recipies in it and shoped for the things I would need to have on hand.
So for me the time flew by. I think my working helped to.Now I am loving life, starting over at 40(will be 41 on 8/31). I know you all will be fine have postive thoughts, There wont be much pain at all. thay keep you very comfortable because thay want you up and around very quickly.
Oh one more thing go to support meetings.Thay helped so much!!!!!
Take care best wishes and remember "Nothing taste as good as being thin feels" Kim
