Well I am still preop. My surgery is on Aug 16th but I have tried a few different drinks. I tried GNC PRO PERFORMANCE, it is pretty good and not so expensive. For an 8 ounces of water you put one scoop and it has 21 grams of protein. If you have problems with the shakes (I do cause they are thick) there is ISOPURE WATER and it is great. I got a bottle that is 20ounces and it had 40 grams of protein. But it was so much easier to drink. I tried the grape frost and it tastes just like koolaid. I got both of these from GNC. Hope this helps. Good luck with your surgery. Stephanie

Hello, Also try unjury comes in 3 flavors (unflavored, choc. and van.) can be only found on unjury.com website. This is very good and popular. Good luck.

www.bariatriceating.com this site has a few different selection, with nutritional facts, and reviews. I've tasted the NECTAR kiwi strawberry protein powder, and the lemonade stand powder. Both are pretty good. Add them to your favorite drinks while you're preop and get used to the taste and measurements. Your taste may change after the surgery, but at least you know where to find and what you may like.

Tracy: Most of the protein drinks absolutely make me !! I like the Nectar series as well. I ordered two of their sampler packs instead of buying the big, bulky tubs of one single flavor. So far I like almost all of them but prefer the "fruity" varieties best. Since you are what you eat [or, in this case, drink] does that mean I'm nutty as a FRUITcake?

Tracy, My date is 8/25/04 and I'm still looking for something I like also. Everybody raves about the isopure but it taste slimy to me. I was going to get the nectar, but I could only get this huge tub. If i get it I'm stuck with one flavor if I like it and if I don't then I have this container for nothing. Please let me know if you find something that's wonderful. Judy

Go to www.vitalady.com. Here, you can order sample packets of many different proteins for only $1.99 a pack. I'm going to get together with two of my closest friends and place an order, then have some 'taste tests' to see which ones we will order in bulk. Good luck! Tanya aka Foxy Baby Diva
