I am home

Just wanted everyone to know I made it home on Saturday afternoon. So far everything seems to be going okay but I cannot get in all the food/liquids they want me to. I have been told not to worry about it at this point and not to push things. I had a hernia the doctor discovered after he started the procedure so he had to do a partial repair on that before proceeding and as a result the procedure lasted a little longer then expected but was still able to have it done laproscopy. So sorry some of you are having problems with the recovery process and hope things get easier for you soon. I will update my page later. Ginny~ Hi! We had the same surgery date. I am doing well also. Get more fluids and protein in each day. I did finally switch to the highest protein drinks that I could find. Let's keep up with each other. Take Care, Rachel

Ginny, Glad your home. I had my open RNY the same day and came home on Saturday also. Seem to be doing well but also struggling to get in the protein shakes and liquids. I feel stuffed all the time but would still like a pizza. Gotta get over this head hunger stuff. Good luck with a speedy recovery and keep in touch and we can pick each others brains.
