I can't believe it is almost here. I feel calm and peaceful right now. I have a six year old daughter and I pray that I am alright for her sake. It is kind of difficult to justify this decision sometimes because I have no health issues at this time. I just know that if I don't have the surgery I will have them some time soon. Have any of you felt that way? Please pray for me as I go through this procedure. Pray for my mind, health and strength and for my daughter and our family. Take care and God Bless All of us. Yolanda

You Go Girl!!! Better to have the surgery now and begin with no health problems than wait till you're 50 with diabetes, sleep apnea, arthritis from bearing the extra weight all these years. etc etc. Your daughter will appreciate it when she gets old enough to have you around to be grandmother to her children!! God bless you and your recovery. Barbara

I totally hear where you are coming from Yolanda. I am single, no kids, no major health comorbidities, and just turned 25. I think to myself at times and question my decision, but automatically snap out of it and think about the positive things that will come from it. Getting WLS started with no health problems is a blessing. Many people go through heartaches and pain because of the comorbidities they have to control during their recovery time. We have the luck to do this for OURSELVES and have a clean slate that will get better with time.

YOLANDA, I HOPE AND PRAY YOU WILL COME OUT OF SURGERY JUST FINE. I UNDERSTAND HOW YOU FEEL. I DON'T HAVE COMORBITIES AND PRAY I NEVER DO. WLS CAN HELP US PROLONG OUR LIFE AND BE HEALTHY. WLS WILL HELP US GIVE MORE OF OURSELVES TO OTHERS AND MOST IMPORTANTLY. WE WILL HAVE MORE TO GIVE TO OURSELVES. WISHING YOU THE BEST...
