prayers going out, I am home and tired

Hey, my prayers and thoughts going out to everyone going into surgery this week! I am home as of yesterday, but I can't do the computer long. What's so crappy is it isn't the wls, but a damn compressed nerve from my neck radiating down to my arm. It started a couple of days before surgery and I figured it would fade away. NOT. When asked about pain level, 4 of 5 days, the pinched nerve was higher than my wls stuff! Nothing touches the pain either. I went to emergency room this morning after a night of no sleep. I had taken a 7.5 percocet, they gave me a shot of toradol, then a shot of demerol phernergan. NO HELP AT ALL. I feel like I focused so much positive energy on my surgical site, I neglected my neck and WHAMMY! It is awful. PS: I have decided to never weigh myself unless at hospital or doctors. According to e.r. this morning, I am down 12 pounds since I checked in for surgery Monday morning. Still sounds sureal. Laterz Nona

Hi, Nona! I'm out too! I went in on Wednesday, and was out on Friday (8/6). I hope your pinched nerve gets better, sorry to hear about that. I just have some residual pain where the main incision (RNY) is and just below it, but other than that I am recovering nicely - I just sleep A LOT! I don't feel like I am losing weight yet, but I am in the "Family Office" quite frequently. Mother Nature decided to play a nasty trick on the day I went in, so I have had that pain on top of WLS - not fun. Other than that, all went very well and I am up and moving - a little bit anyway!
