Hi All~ firts let me say thank you to Teresa for posting my progress for me and to all of you for your prayers and support. Only a Post op realizes how much you rely on that support. I feel pretty good over all. I now know what everybody is talking about when they say it is d#*@ near impossible to get the fluids in. PLEASE practice sipping PRIOR to surgery as it is very hard (and painful) to learn afterwards. I have 6 very small incisions, one of which hurts the most (camera port) , but still isn't all that bad. I took a dose of Lortab last night around midnight (got home from the hospital about 5:00) and then slept pretty well IN MY OWN BED!!! Haven't needed any pain meds today, but may need a dose by bedtime. All in all, it is okay and IS getting better every day. I won't kid you and say I would do it all over again (not now anyway), but I will say, if this gives me a healthier life, then it will definately be worth every moment. Any preops that I can help, please just let me know. Blessings, Rachel

Rachel I'm glad your home and doing well. It must have been nice to sleep in your own bed. I actually went out and bought a sippy cup to have it ready for after my surgery. I was afraid that I would have a problem with "learning" to sip, figured this would be a start. I'll let you know if it works! Although you'll probably be a pro at it by then! Congrats and best wishes!!!!

Hi Rachel, I'm glad you're doing well. I have my surgery on Monday and I have to say I am freaking out. On the outside I appear very calm and together but inside I am a bundle of nerves. It did me good to read your posting. I did extremely well with my C-section so I'm hoping to do just as well with this. I pray your recovery continues to progress as well as it has. LouLou H.

LouLou, I also was comparing this surgery to my C-section. Lemme tell ya, it only hurts that bad for the first couple of days. I had my surgery on the 4th, and by Sunday, was feeling well enough to load the dishwasher and sweep the kitchen floor. I know this info won't get to you until you get home, but thought you'd want to know! Good luck! Tanya aka Foxy Baby Diva
