everyone done with pre-op testing?

Hey guys and gals, is everyone finished with their pre-op testing? If so how did it go? Do you have any advice for those of us who have yet to get it done? I'm going in this Friday get mine. I'm nervous and excited to get it over with. My surgery is scheduled for the 27th barring all my tests come out ok.

I did mine last friday and I had to have some blood drawn which was the worst for me, I have hard to get veins,then a EKG then I had to talk to the nurse about my surgery,what to bring what time to be there and all that good stuff,the anesthesiologist came in a spoke to me then I had to have a chest xray it took about an hour for the whole process,some people need a gallbladder u/s but I had mine removed about 10 years ago.Now I need to go back to my Dr for the results and my last check up with him before my surgery(8/12),that is on the 9th and I do have to take a pregnancy test that same day..hope this info helps!! Pre-op testing done! Let see, there was a tone of blood work, 5 vials. A gall bladder ultra sound, an Upper GI, Chest x-rays, and an EKG. They were all easy. You can read my profile if you want some of my comments on them. Good luck, Christie

I don't do my preop testing until the day before surgery. Then I am supposed to get a chest xray, gallbladder, blood, and meet with the doctor. Hopefully, everything will go well. Alicia

I have already had 2 psych appointments. Am entering the month where my calander is littered with pre-op preparation: more psych, dietary, pre-op lab #1 and #2, physical therapy, Pulmonologist, Cardiologist, and a required support group meeting. THEN, a final date with the surgeon before I "open up to him."

LOL!! I have no co-morbidities and all of this! I feel well taken care of.

Did my pre-op testing today and unless there is something hidden it all looked good ... pulminary function, ekg, ultrasound of heart and legs and blood gasses. Still have to do the blood work but think I will probably have that done when I see doc for presurgery appt on thursday.
