Patty, Right on that, a long delay would have done me in at the time! My sister had the same surgery a couple of years ago and lost 120 pounds and has so much energy, not diabetic anymore. no meds for high blood pressure, buys her clothes of the rack that doesn't have all those XXXXX on the tags. She still can't eat steak, but she said its no big deal because she doesn't even like it anymore. Thanks! Carol

Hi Jackie, Soon we will be dancing in the streets! As for my kid, he is bright but works hard, full time classes and 2 part time jobs. He wants to do research to find new treatments for pain, particularly chronic pain. He is in a Phd program for "not wealthy" (sounds better than poor) kids and has another 3 or 4 years to go until he graduates. He is my only child. Things stay tight until he graduates. Your surgery is 2 days before mine so you can take the plunge first, and be off and running before I get out of bed. (And to think I used to think these icons were silly. Kinda fun! I will be keeping my eye out for your updates, and good luck to you too. Carol
