My date is August 31st!!!!

Hi everybody. I am a first time poster. I have been registered with Obesity Help for some time, but have not posted until today. I consulted with a surgeon yesterday and I am scheduled for August 31st surgery! I have been trying unsuccessfully for over a year to find a doc that accepts Medicaid. I was referred to mine under the impression he took Medicaid, but it turns out he doesn't: But, here is the catch, Medicaid will pay for all hospitalization and preop tests, with NO preauthorization! So I just pay the surgeons fee, which is minimal when you think about it ($6500). That is actually half the fee, but the doc writes the other half off. Now the challenge is getting the 51 million preop tests scheduled and completed in time for the surgery. Good luck to all of you and I wish you the best! I am going to take a before picture the week of my surgery and then during all the post op months. I will post them here if possible! I am so excited I can't really believe its true! Joy P.S.
