(TMI)Upper GI side effects anyone?

I'll warn you now, this may be graphic. Ever since my upper GI, I have had a lot of "digestive difficulties". My BM's are more frequent and smaller. I have horrible, constant gas and gas pains, too. I also have gas pains in my upper belly which is something I've never experienced before. Is anyone else going through anything similar to this?

Michelle, I have had several upper GI and endoscopy done... they always leave air in my stomach since I already have had the vbg done... my stomach is small and the doctors that have done the scopes know about my stomach and are very careful with the amount of air... I have surgery on 8/3/04 a revision I am so excited.... Good luck

Hi Michelle, I also had some very strange side effects after my upper GI. The tech said that i might have some constipation. Ha, I have had the worst loose bowels in history. The gas alone would send missels to Iraq. The pain in my gut rumbled for more than a week. After all my tests and labs, the doctor's office called to tell me that I had H-Pylori ( a bacteria) so now I am on two weeks of several different antibiotics and my bottom is raw from the diarreah. My surgery is on the 18th and the pain from surgery will pale compared to this. Speedy recovery after your surgery. God Bless. Deanna
