8-2-04 that's my date

I got a voice message Wednesday from my doctor to let me know that he was going to due my open RNY on 8-2-04. I have been waiting a long time but it still is a shock and I feel sort of numb knowing that it's really going to happen in just over a week. I will be having surgery at Kaiser Fremont with Dr. Dutta. Wish me luck. I have had 3 C-sections 30 some years ago and did fine with those as soon as I realized that I was not going to fall apart if I moved. The last one was a great recovery. I hope that experience will make me a good patient. I keep saying to myself "walk, walk, walk, sip,sip,sip." It is easy to say it now, I just hope that I have the same oomph in me to do it post op. By then I won't really have a choice, will I? Mary-Rose

Hi Cindy, Thanks for the warm wishes. I was just in Cartersville three weeks ago. We were at a Coca Cola convention in Atlanta and just had to go take a photo of the coke ad on the side of Young Bro. good luck it will be fine.i lost 225 pounds and feel great.just remember you must learn to eat to live instead of living to eat adam
