I am soooooo envious!

Hello Everyone I am new to this board as I always post on the NY boards. I just thought I would stop by and check it out here since this is the month that I am hoping to have my WLS done. I will be finished with all the pre-surgical clearances and consultations as of next Friday. I have been fortunate to be able to complete everything so quickly because I am off from work for the summer and hope I can have the surgery in August before school starts again. I really don't want to take alot of sick time especially at the beginning of the new school year. I just need for the Dr. to get all the results, get a date and insurance approval. My surgeon told me it is possible to have the procedure done next month. I am keeping everything "double crossed". I hope soon I will be able to post my surgery date and be as excited as you all are about your upcoming surgeries. Good luck to all of you as you are soon to become "big losers". Marianne

Marianne, I can100% sympathize with your feelings. I was orginally schedualed to have the surgery 4/9 (Good Friday) but after several incidents with the surgeon and his office staff, I had to cancel it all (this after waiting since May of 2003 to get into see him and finally it was all ready to go. But I was not confortable & I believe there was a reason things did not work out. But now I am able to be going thru with my surgery. With a new surgeon who is has excellant skills and a wonderful bed side manor, I believe God watches over each and everyone of us and when it is time to be , it will be and then will be the best thing for us at that time. So keep your chin up, leave it up to God, dont stress over it. Julie who will one day be able to ride a again! lol
