12 days and counting!!!
Well, I go for my final preop bloodwork and consult today.... it doesn't seem real yet, but as time passes I can feel the tension building!!! It takes so long to get here, and now I'm trying to get it all together before the big day.
There's a lot to do... shop for the kids school stuff since I assume August I'll be pretty tired , stock up on groceries.... the special stuff I'll need as well as food for the rest of the family...it'll be hard to get to the store and carry bags!! Clean the house, catch up on laundry, and fit in a few day trips to see family!( my Mom fell and broke her wrist Mon..... surgery and pins, yikes! I'll be going down to do her cleaning Friday!)
On a more somber note.... I'd like to write notes to my kids in case the unthinkable happens and double check my will.
And of course I still need to pack a bag, but that'll wait until a day or 2 before....
Did I forget anything??? What are you doing to get ready??????? Teri
12DAYS AND COUNTING ALSO! I HAVE BEEN DOING THE SAME THING AS YOU HAVE. I HAVE MADE A GROCERY LIST AND ALL THAT STUFF,AND HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT THE UNTHINKABLE, EVEN THO I DON'T WANT TO . BUT I AM PRAYING SO HARD FOR GOD TO TAKE CARE OF ALL OF US DOING THE SURGERY.I AM GOING TO TELL ALL MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS THAT I LOVE THEM AND TO SEND UP ALL THE PRAYERS THAT THEY CAN BEFORE, DOING, AND AFTER THE SURGERY AND THAT I WILL SEE THEM WHEN I COME OUT. WE MUST KEEP THE FAITH. HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU SOON AND AFTER THE SURGERY. MY PRAYS ARE WITH YOU, AND YOU DO THE SAME FOR ME. THANK YOU.
Seems like yesterday we were 60 and 70 days out!! Wow! Time flies! I am excited and ready...nervous a bit, but I know this is the greatest thing that I can do for my future.
Going to be planning the shopping list and post op stuff next week or two then pre-ops on the 3rd.
It is exciting to think how close we all are!!

Well, as of today we have 11 days left. Today I go and pick my daughter up from my moms. I got my hair cut yesterday. I have stocked up on my food but I still need to stock up on food for the family. I have most of my bag packed ( the things I was scared that I would forget). I have wrote letters to my kids and husband. I still need to make a copy of my living will. I still have to meet my Angel. We have already shopped for school clothes and they will have to get the last minute school supplies that they will need. I have most everything that they need already. I still need to clean my house.
And I am getting nervous!!!!
