August 30th....2nd surgery date

I had all my pre-op tests done....my insurance approved..my pcp gave me the green light....I researched WLS for over 6 months.....my daughter scheduled her leave (from the Marines)....my hospital bracelet was attached to my surgery board....surgery date was July 19th. I went to my doctor for what I thought was my last visit before surgery.....SURPRISE...He canceled it. He said he wanted me to go on the south beach diet for a couple of weeks. He said he told me that....WRONG....I would have remembered something like that. I had been thru to much stress not to totally understand everything he said. I was totally devastated. My daughter lost $200 from the $800 ticket she bought for her and my grandson. Now I have to see my doctor on Aug 12th and my surgery is scheduled for the 30th. I'll believe it when they are rolling me to the OR Patty

Oh Patty, what a blow! Some doctors are a wee bit strange. I know if mine had told me something like that, I would have remembered. I bet he did not say it....! I am so sorry your date was canceled. You will make it, I am sure. Good luck to you. Marla

Patty ,I know that was a real shocker but things will work out fine, I am sure. Its just a bump in the road to lookin and feeling good
