Abnormal Pre op tests?

Anyone here have an abnormal EKG? If so, what did you do to fix it and get clearance? I had one and my retake is Monday! I am stressing about it becasue I never thought anything was wrong with my heart. We will see if it was an error!

I wouldn't stress too much about it. From what I understand they aren't always accurate and repeats have to be done sometimes. Good Luck Patty

I have had a couple of abnormal and it just depends on what is wrong. My heart has some extra beats because- 1- I work way to much. 2- I dont get enough sleep and 3- I drink alot of caffine to compensate for 1 and 2. So all I did was get some extra sleep, relax and stopped the caffenine and my problem is solved. but you may have something completely different going on so there is really not much advice to give. Except dont stress it cause one thing i have learned from all this is stress never helps the situation! So relax or try to anyways and hopefully your test will be good on monday! Good Luck! krisitn

Remember that if you do have an abnormal EKG. the doctors want to know about it. If you think about it,it presents an even stronger reason for you to have the surgery. Get the weight off and help your heart get healthier. I'm sure the doctors have seen much sicker patients and have helped them with WLS. God bless you and I'll pray for your nervousness to be settled.
