Hi everyone, I am having a lap rny. I know this is a plus in recover time and etc, however will be longer under....!! Open rny, about 45 minutes, but more pain and longer recovery....Oh yes, 8/3/04 will be a happy day! Marla

Congratulations! My lap RNY is scheduled for 7:30am Tuesday, Aug. 3 in Nashville, TN. We're going to be on vacation at Cedar Point the week before, so hoping to lose a couple of pounds walking around and screaming my head off on some of those rides! Knowing that 4 people in our office and a dear friend have already gone through this makes it less scary but still a bit anxious nevertheless! Angelina, I am scheduled for lap rny on 8/4/04. Only 28 days and I can hardly wait. I know lots of people who have had the surgery and so am not nervouis as yet at all. Best of luck to you and all the other August patients. Ginny 8/4/04
