I finally got my approval and date!!!
I finally got my approval after my first appeal! The surgeon's office called me Thurs and I am scheduled to go on 8/3. Have a lot to do between then and now. I am so excited but I'm not nervous yet but I'm sure that I will be more the closer the day gets. I 'm so glad that I was able to get this done before my wedding in October! The weightloss will help me have a more enjoyable day!

Too bad you won't be able to eat any of your wedding cake!
Have your dietician reccomend something cake like, and have your caterer make you a special cake for you and hubby.
I got married in 2002 and right before the wedding, I exploded. A month before my wedding, I could barely get my gown on. I had to spend $257 in alterations to add side panels to my dress. Luckily I am short and the material came from what she cut off at the bottom. But it was obvious because the material's sheen was going the wrong way that I had those panels added, it was quite embarassing.
Brian and I have decided for our 5th anniversary we are going to have our wedding pictures redone. He is planning surgery for Jan-March of 2005, so by the time our 5 yr rolls around, we will both have stabilized.
Then, I am BURNING all of those pictures of me looking like a freaking whale on my wedding day.
Your wedding day is supposed to be the happiest day of your life, Don't let the little things bother you that day. If the flowers come in wrong (like mine), laugh it off. If people are late (like mine), laugh it off.
Just remember, you will always have those pictures of your skinny self in a HOT wedding gown!
Go for it girl!!!!
(Your only problem may be if you loose too much, and your gown is actually too loose!)
