Passing time

Hi All, time is going by rather quickly. Right now we are getting ready for the 4th of July celebration here on post. The next weeks we'll keep busy with keeping the kids entertained and out of trouble. Soon I have my birthday but I don't think I am going to have a party this year because I really don't want to drink any alcohol before my surgery. (Never thought I could put that much in on sentence...) Besides, soon I will have two birthdays to celebrate. Actually looking at it, this surgery is the best birthday present I've ever gotten!!!! What are you all up to? The weather here in Germany leaves a lot to be desired so we are forced to do a bunch of indoor stuff. Wow, just realized that I am just rambling on. Barbara, my date is Aug 6th. 34 days and counting... I am also trying to already make better food choices and trying to push the water. Life is great, getting better. Sabine

I am countuing down to my new life. Not doing much to get past this time thing. But, I know I am waiting for this week end to pass..because then I start all my pre op stuff. As ech day passes I realize I have made the right descion for me. It will be a key to a new life for me in so many ways....personal and proffesional. I want to be able to go to the store and not have to go to the large area and hope I can find something large enough to go below my waist that is not dorky. I also can not wait to have those who look at me oddly, be shocked when they see the new me. I know I will have resent towards them. Hi Mary, I am with you on those people that didn't give me the time of day now and look down on me. But then again, I couldn't care less about them and I know I am doing this for me and no one else!!!!! Life is going to be so much better. I am so sick and tired of sitting on the sideline. Ditto Sabine, WHOOO WHOO FOR US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I dont care about them either. But, I will have to run into them because of the kids. I can secretly think..look at me now. Yep, I am planning my life. I have so much planned for afterward. My most recent job I had to qiut because of previos surgery issues. I watched friends kids. They still want me. But, like I tiold the one lady who is a dear friend. I can not commit to her right now. I need to get through the surgery. Then, for awhile after we can not lift things ect. So, I want to make sure I get it right...thesooner I can have a complete life. I dont want to mess up my healing process. Someone on the site was looking to hire people for different positions. She will train. Sure is temting. I have a back ground with kids and senoirs. But, I need to clear this surgery away fiirst. I am soooo excited. Mary

Good for you Mary!!!!! Those who laugh last, laugh best!!!!! It is good to be able to smile at them and think....HAHA. Also good for you to make sure you take time to recover and take it easy after surgery. We need to heal all the way!!! Sabine

Hello Sabine, I am here waiting on my birthday(7/28) and then my re-birth (8/10). I am trying to just pass the time away and get all my ducks in a row...LOL. I've started shopping for my vitamins/supplements/protein samples/and misc. items. There DONE!!!! now I'll work on something else...lol like my house....lol Shay

Hello Shay, wow, we do have stuff in common. My birthday is July 27th (leo's are grrrrrreat) and my surgery is on Aug 6th. Pretty neat, isn't it? I did not buy any supplements yet. About a year or so ago I did Body-for-Life and I have some stuff left that will tie me over. I probably should do my house but I figure that stuff can wait until after once some pounds are off and hopefully some of the back and knee pain with it...(one can always hope) There is still vacation time left for the boys and I will do stuff with them while I can. My guess is that after surgery I will not be doing a whole lot at first. We shall see. Have a great one. Sabine
