Questions/surgery soon
My sister had hers in March and she was fine as far as drinking but did find it hard to get it all in. The best protien drink is different for everyone, I think, since we all have different tastes. Try buying some sample ones in small quantities and give them a try. You can order them online as well, not sure of the site address though. The dietician will give you a list of all the vitamins you need when you see her at your post op visit with her. As far as what you can have the first two weeks she will tell you that too. My Dr starts you on a full liquid diet after the fist few days. My sister was eating yogurt, scrambled eggs, pudding and jello after a couple of days.

Mary,
During the first couple of weeks my doctor also allows crystal light, which they count as water, yogurt and if it has fruit pieces it has to be blenderized, bullion or broth, tomato soup, sugar frre popsiciles and sugar free jello and puding. When you think about that does give you some selection. I received a complete list of all the stages from the dietician when I met with her at the end of January. You will probably want to check with your doctor but this is what mine does.
