I can't rember everything of what I have heard to bring, but , bring a night gown orsomething to give you privacy when you go for walks, some wipes for your hands as it is difficult to wash the hands with the ivs. Make sure you have loose clothing to wear home. As i read on one of the posts we might be swollen after the surgery.Oh yeah if you should have to wear a binder...someone mentioned to have a large t shirt for under it..so it doesn't rub up agaainst your inscion to badly. One more thing////a pillow to help hold against the inscision area on the way home. Plus I believe it helps to hold it against inscion area when coughing becaase your working out anesthesia and any gas issues. Just what I have read. Going for my surgery soon. Good luck to you. Mary

Hi Linda....I just got my approval and was asking the same thing. I know 2 people that have had this done and I needed to know what to take with me. Some of the things they suggested to take was some of that rinseless soap, shampoo, conditioner (the hospital will charge you a fortune if you use any of their stuff). They also suggested taking some of those Listermint paper things that melt in your mouth since the anesthesia might leave a metal taste in your mouth for a couple of days. Also if you will have a catheter you might want to take some cleansing towlettes. And then there is all of the other sanitary items. I was also told that I might start my menstrual cycle even if it wasn't time so take pads just incase. Magazines and puzzle books to keep yourself occupied. Hope this helps! Good Luck! Heather
