Thank you for the positive thoughts! It is so nice to have such wonderful support. I am really going to stay focused on being positive and not let the "nervous thoughts" stop me from becoming healthy. Thanks for letting my whine and cry a bit! August here we come-- Joan

Joan , Just wanted to say I know you can do this with your spouse gone, I is very difficult with a military spouse deployed overseas. My son and daughter both had surgerys while ther dad was remote in turkey. . I want to say we appreciate all the sacrfice you and your family are making so your husband can help secure our freedom. As a AF retired wife i understand. My surgery is Aug 2, 2004 so i can sympathize with the nervousness. Just hang tough, you will be just fine and besides you won't be alone. Brenda

Brenda-- Thank you for the encouraging words. It really feels good to know I am not alone and others have faced or are facing worse situations than I am. With all the encouragment from you and others I know I can do this and everything will be fine. I have decided to cancel the "pity party" for myself and get tough!! I also want to thank you, your husband, and your family for making the same sacrifices to help keep us free....myself and my family are just following the example that has been set by those who came before us. Go Air Force!! C'mon August!! Joan

Its great that you will have your mother there to help you and won't it be wonderful for your husband to return and see a new you. I know it's hard to go through this without him but I'm sure your mother will be able to see you through it. Best wishes Patty
