Date for Pre Ops

I called today and made my appt for my pre ops. I go July 20th for them. First to the anethesists office then over to the hospital for blood, urine and chest xray. On the same day I see the dietician and nurse. That should be it for the pre ops. Seems so real now. Patty

i go for pre ops on july 29th what are pre ops for ??? i know it sounds crazy but when the office called to tell me when they were i was so excited i forgot to ask why nd what they were for ? and what they consist of? lol

For my pre-op I have to go for blood tests, a urine test and chest x-ray. I see the anesthetist, the dietician and the nurse. They gave me paper to fill out asking all kinds of questions, like a health history. I also have to watch a video about having surgery at the hospital and how to prepare for surgery. I know some Drs also require you to talk to a psychiatrist to make sure you understand what you are undertaking. It's so exciting that it's almost here. Just talking about it makes it seem so real.
